Bio
George Varodi is a director and artist creating animated films for adult audiences.
With a background in industrial and automotive design from the Stieglitz Academy of Art and Design, his work merges fine art, visual storytelling, and design precision.
He has contributed to acclaimed productions including Love, Death & Robots: “Jibaro”, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, Apollo 10½ by Richard Linklater, and the Academy Award–winning short film The Windshield Wiper directed by Alberto Mielgo.
George has collaborated with major studios such as Sony, Bungie, Netflix, Xilam, and Activision, working across feature animation, cinematic trailers, and video games. His practice spans visual development, concept art, storyboarding, and art direction — blending painting, cinematic language, and world-building into cohesive narrative environments.
Alongside his studio work, he is the author and director of Sustenance, an anthology of animated short films exploring legacy, fear, and inner strength through female-driven narratives. His personal films blend painting, sound, and movement to examine how emotion shapes perception and memory. Currently based in Paris, George continues to develop new animated projects and visual worlds that connect design, emotion, and cinematic storytelling.
